Summit Medical Group Orthopedics is proud to announce that David Abrutyn, MD, has been selected to instruct a course on advanced knee surgical techniques for the Arthroscopy Association of North America at the Orthopaedic Learning Center in Rosemont, Illinois.
The class is titled Comprehensive Knee Course—Ligament, Meniscus, Articular Cartilage. It is a continuing medical education class where Dr. Abrutyn will be sharing his knowledge with other surgeons. The course is officially sold out and not open to the public.
Dr. Abrutyn will be teaching advanced skills on knee ligament reconstruction, including reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), posterior cruciate ligament, lateral collateral ligament (LCL) and medical collateral ligament (MCL). The session will also cover damage to other structures in the knee that are often seen with ligament damage, including the meniscus and other cartilage injuries.
Dr. Abrutyn was invited to teach this class based on his extensive experience with and expertise in arthroscopic knee repair. He is a sought-after speaker and teacher, having authored a number of journal articles and textbook chapters, and given lectures around the U.S. on knee repair. He has been invited to teach the course in the past and is excited to do so again.
